Working on a new thing. I say that a lot, don’t I…

My library is still closed but has curbside pickup, which is lovely, except that I can’t browse, boo. But I can pick up my books and then pickup my curbside BBQ dinner the next block over and nice food plus new reading makes for a very nice evening indeed.

You know that I know this stuff. If you have any questions feel free to ask, because I have a head full of 1812 trivia and it all must go somewhere.

Yes, I do know, and may ask you for a beta read at some point!
Right now I’m at the point where I’m trying to wrap my brain around a time when a majority of American politicians believed a large standing military was unconstitutional and opposed supporting one.

The argument wasn’t about the army, it was about the politicians who supported the army, who were a bunch of evil, conspiratorial monarchists who wanted to use the army to overthrow the Republic and establish tyranny, with or without King George.
Or that’s what they alleged to believe, anyway.
