ideas are like oxygen: a journal by Carrie Vaughn
A small, small taste of the scenery I visited last weekend.
I want to set a story here. This must happen.
It should have bigfoot (bigfeet?) in it.
I have to ask having moved to Colorado in the last 2 years, where is this?
It’s in Washington State — Lake Quinault in the Olympic National Forest.
Aww too bad. I’m looking for some cool hikes near the Colorado Springs, Denver area. Feel free to give suggestions! Love the books, and you made me need to re-read low midnight after spending the day in Manitou Springs.
Josh, there are a ton of great areas in Colorado Springs:
Garden of the Gods
Bear Creek Nature Center
The Pike National Forest has trailheads all up and down the front range.
As for Denver, I’m not as familiar. Try west, in the area of Red Rocks Amphitheater, and at a place called Castlewood Canyon.
Do some searching online for more maps and info — the parks all have websites. Hope this helps!
