quick post

January 20, 2014

I am back from a most excellent book tour, including a fun stop in New York, where I did an impromptu accidental Wild Cards tour of the city (pictures to come!).  Thanks to everyone who came out to say hi, and to Nancy Hightower for hosting me in NYC.

Right now, I’m playing catch up and I need to go fetch Lily home, so here’s a question for you.  I’ve been thinking about cyberpunk movies, and thinking about doing a big post on cyberpunk movies, but for now:  Sneakers.  Great cyberpunk movie, or the greatest cyberpunk movie?

With Low Midnight coming out this year does this mean no Kitty Norville book in 2014?

  2. Linda Says:

    Greatest, of course. 😀

  3. Mike Shaffer Says:

When you said Cyberpunk my first thoughts were The Matrix and (probably sadly) Johnny Mnemonic. I hope I don’t have to revoke my nerd card for mentioning those films? Tron wouldn’t qualify as Cyberpunk, would it? The original, I mean.

  4. Jakk Says:

So how was Aces High? 🙂 Can not wait for the pictures!

  5. Peggy Says:

Greatest, if only for, “We’re the United States government. We don’t deal in that sort of thing.”

  6. Sneakers is the quintessential Cyberpunk movie and a damn hard act to beat. There are a number of //good// CP movies, but I can’t think of one that’s better at this point.

  7. Chris Says:

    The ONLY Cyberpunk movie.

Tron is totally cyberpunk! All hacking and netrunning, speculation about the networked world.

There are lots of CP movies, but good ones? Not as many…
