Mt. Hood

March 23, 2012

One of the things I like about flying into and out of Portland OR (which I did a couple of weeks ago), is the spectacular views of Mt. Hood you get on a nice day (it was a very nice day).

Hikers and climbers get trapped and die on Mt. Hood every year.  It’s a dangerous place. (Though not dangerous enough to keep folks from the ski slopes visible at this angle.)  But from this altitude, I feel like I could almost reach out and brush the snow off.

Great shot! Are you looking north? That looks like Mount St. Helens in the background.

How lucky you are to be able to enjoy all the views you see in all your travels!

Anyway Carrie, just wanted to tell you that your Kitty books are my favourite series ever. And look forward to the next books.

Mt Hood always makes me think of The Lathe of Heaven.
