First Chapters and Book Tour

May 27, 2010

Things are going to really start moving heading into next month and getting ready for the double-header releases of Kitty Goes to War and Discord’s Apple.  First off, I’m going to be doing my very first ever actual book tour, a west coast whirlwind with stops in most of the major cities, along with the usual signings in Denver and probably New Mexico.  So, if you live on the west coast and you’ve ever written or posted a comment saying “Please come do a signing here!” mark your calendars for late July.  I’ll get specific dates and locations posted soon.

Also, I’ve finally gotten around to posting the first chapters of both books.  The links are on my website. Enjoy!

In other news… VH-1:  “I Love the 00’s.”  Really?  Isn’t it a little early to be waxing nostalgic about YouTube?

Good luck with the tour stuff!

Oh..the first time I heard Ozzy on an elevator, my head went into painful denials. Welcome to gettin’ older. heh heh.

Great news! Hope you will be doing signings in Oregon!

And i agree with the “I Love the 00’s”,considering we are still IN them until the end of the year(01-10). I also never understood the appeal of the show of a bunch of comedians and reality stars making fun of the things i grew up with and enjoyed.

I think the first “I Love the 00s” was made closer to the mid-00s as well. 2005 maybe. I remember seeing it on VH1 and thinking they could at least wait until the decade was over before filming this series. It’s supposed to play off of nostaglia, which you don’t have when you’re watching the show talk about an iPhone, on your iPhone.

I don’t mind the 80s ones so much, since I have very fond memories (okay, I was born in the mid-80s so I don’t remember much, but I had older siblings so I still got to experience some of the held-over awesome). It’s kind of nice to watch those (or at least the first version, then they came out with “I Love the 80s Remix,” and 3-D, oy) and see all the things I loved about the 80s.

Awesome! Congrats on the first book tour Carrie!

Even if you come to Phoenix area though I might not be there by then. I’m planning on moving to Aurora though so I’ll be close by and likely be able to go to one of your book signings around that area. I just finished reading Voices of Dragons which was amazing, as always.

Can’t wait for Kitty Goes to War, Discord’s Apple, and the sequel for Voices! Keep up the great work but don’t work yourself too hard!

Just the west coast? no nation wide, or east coast, north east?

  6. David Bowles Says:

It’s okay; no one ever comes to the Rust Belt. 🙂

  7. Mathieu PAGES Says:

Thx for the first chapter of Kitty Goes to War. I want the book so badly right now… and it’s still a whole month or so before the release date… ^^

  8. Debbie W. Says:

You know that you have a bunch of eager followers in Dallas, too, right? We’re not *that* far away from New Mexico or Colorado (or so the ski resort destinations keep telling us with their persistent advertisements).

  9. Nonny Says:

Will you come to San Diego again?

  10. carriev Says:

Yes, San Diego is on the list.
