things to share

December 10, 2009

Hey, look what I got in the mail!

It’s a box of Kittys!  I think this is the earliest before the actual publication date that I’ve ever gotten my author copies.  I’m very curious now when they’re going to start showing up in stores.  All the books have appeared a week or so before the actual on sale date.  (January 4 in this case.)  But this one’s obviously shipping already.  In time for the holidays!

Today, I have a guest blog post at Magical Musings.  The topic is near and dear to my heart:  setting goals.

Also in my inbox (it’s been a very, very busy week for mail, both e and snail):

Kinda cool, yes?  This one will be out in July 2o10.  It’s the Cormac story I’ve been talking about.  And it just hit me, the horrible thing he does.  I mean, he doesn’t have a choice, he has to.  But he…well…I mean…  I’ll just let you read it.

Yeah! Can’t wait for the next Kitty book. And I’ve been waiting eagerly for Dark and Stormy Knights as well.

Sounds like the holidays/new year will go well for you.

I just made a noise only dogs can hear. Now I’m going to have to start haunting the bookstore…

LOL. Thanks for the tease about the Cormac story.

Of course I’m dying for the next Kitty book, its one of the reasons I’ve requested a book store gift card for x-mas.

Awesome! I’ll have to key an eye out for Kitty and the House of Horrors.

I’m also really looking forward to Dark and Stormy Knights, both for the Cormac story and because there are several other authors I’ve been interested in reading in it. I know you can’t answer this for spoiler reasons, but Cormac doesn’t do something that gets him more jail time does he?

Have a great Christmas Carrie! You deserve it after giving all these wonderful new books to look forward to!

No, the story takes place before the jail time. And in the context of the story it really is something he had to do. But when you state exactly what he does outside the context…yeah…

I’ll have to talk about it later. 🙂

You are a shameless tease. Your fan base is made up of friendly, slightly off-center intellectuals. You’ll turn us into a pack of wild, ravenous dogs with teasers like that! 🙂

Ack! That’s a fantastic picture – I think I’m drooling. I always hope my bookstore will put the book out earlier than it’s supposed too – but they never do. 😦

  8. Weasy Says:

I’m definitely drooling at the box of books but I’m fairly certain I can’t blame that on Carrie’s teasing alone. The overstuffed bookshelves in my house are proof enough that I’ve been ravenous for books for quite some time. 😉

I checked the shelves at Borders this past Saturday. No Kitty yet. (This was the same Borders which was one of the first sitings for Kitty Raises Hell.)

  10. Just so you know, I bought House of Horrors yesterday (Dec. 15th) in Yorktown, Newport News VA. and have already devoured it. I LOVE this series (not just because my name is Kitty and my husband-to-be is a radio DJ [not kidding]) and this book is a great addition. I have to admit, I thought the book Raises Hell was a little over the top and was worried how you were going to continue with the whole “super vamp guy” but it worked out just fine with the paranoia in this one. Keep up the great work!
